As you can see, it was a long time in between updates. Your Health Matters, the book I co-authored with Gregory Dattilo, turned out to be a huge project. I will always be glad I signed on for this project. Health care reform in the U.S. is a very controversial and misunderstood issue, with a lot of political hot air fueling the misconceptions. We clear them up.

Why not contact me and invite me to speak to your group about the U.S. health care system?

This summer I also got Death by Design ready for publishing. I started this book in 2002, and finished it in 2003. Finally, Airleaf Publishing and Bookselling took it on. I think it will be a huge success, as it reveals stories about Gianni Versace's killer that have never before been heard anywhere. Even the pictures are worth the price of the book.

Later this year, Alethos Press LLC will release another of my books - more like a booklet - titled America's Creed.

Hopefully, early in 2007, I'll see the release of another book, the biography of Dr. Harold D. Kletschka, called To Change the Heart of Man.

  So we are very busy.

The book on healthcare should be on its way to the printer by the end of September. I think it will be eye-opening for the general public. I expect you to purchase one right away...when it comes out.

Death by Design, my book about the gay spree killer Andrew Cunanan (the man who killed Giani Versace) is in Hollywood where it is being reviewed both by a literary agent, and a movie production agency. The literary agent is also looking at Caged Bird and a new book I hope to write as potential movie material, and for publication.

The Senator's Son, a Christian novel that deals with the relationship between a conservative, Christian legislator and his homosexual son, is ready to go to the printer. I still need to raise additional funding to pay its publishing and promotional costs.

At least a half dozen books are in the early stages of development. Of course, I think everyone has a story to tell, and those that are most interesting, I should write for them.

I've been busy working on a new book about American health care.  It should be published sometime this summer.  Hint:  I do not blast our system, but I do blast single-payer systems.

I am expecting that my new novel, The Senator's Son, should be ready to go sometime in June.  It will be very, very controversial as it deals with the volatile issue of gay marriage and politics.

My column has finally resumed as of April 11.  (Go here)  You should sign up to receive the weekly columns.  They are free.  Click Here  I think you will find that they cover a broad range of subjects and might even spark some thinking among people with inquisitive and open minds.

In the Shadow of Joseph has been on the market for four months.  One bookstore owner in Las Vegas said it was the best written book in her store.  Others have said it is the best book I have written (and of course, with Tom Bird and Ken Kothe).  If you haven't ordered a copy yet, click here and get with it.

Three more books on which I acted as senior editor and published have been released just in the last few days.

Choices, Designing an Eternal Landscape, The Tom Bever Story is the result of a journal kept by Tom Bever during his days fighting a losing battle against leukemia.  Filled with his original drawings, this sad, but inspirational story brings tears of joy and sorrow.

C Word Cancer, C Word Christ, My Journey with Cancer, by Mabel Olson is a collection of original poems along with slices of humor and prose.  "Mabs" is a breast cancer survivor, and married to Pastor Howard Olson.  These poems are, in somewhat the same sense as the Psalms, inspirational and insightful into the human spirit and our relationship to God, the Great Surgeon.

Minnesota Injustice, by attorney Dale Nathan, is a look at Minnesota's court system, and its abysmal failure to deliver justice.  Nathan uses actual court cases with the names of the judges who presided to make this case.  Then he analyzes the causes of injustice and offers solutions.

Finally, after almost five years, In the Shadow of Joseph has been released.  And the great thing is, so has Tom Bird (at least, on parole).

Soon, my company will publish a small book, Choices: Designing an Eternal Landscape, the Tom Bever Story.  This book was partially written by a dying man, Tom Bever, 20 years ago.  His wife Mary, and his brother Jim finally finished it.  It is a powerful, sad and sometimes humorous insight into a Christian fighting leukemia.

Just after "Choices" is published, another book about cancer, by Mabel Olson, the wife of a retired Baptist pastor, should be ready for release.  Mabs, as she is called, is a breast cancer survivor.  Her book, which I edited and will publish, is a collection of short prose and poetry, showing how God brought her through the scare of breast cancer.

And around the same time, my company will release Dale Nathan's book, Minnesota Injustice, stories about real Minnesota courtroom horror cases.  I edited the book and consulted on it, plus will act as its publisher.

Lastly, I have taken a couple of part time jobs to pay the way in-between book contracts.  I represent Northwest Title & Escrow Corp. to mortgage lenders and brokers, as well as develop marketing and website materials for them.  And, I serve as Program Director for Clean Country, a nationwide janitorial service.  Here I help them research and launch new business programs as well as develop their website and marketing materials.

I hope to find some time to once again write editorials and begin a new book.
